Parentage: ‘Feng Dan Bai’ x P. qiui. First bloom unknown, first propagated 2022. Mid-late season blooming SINGLE to SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are purple, 15-18 cm (~6.25”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are ruffled, notched, and are typically 5.4 cm (2.15”) in width. Fragrant. On average, flowers carry six yellowish-green, moderately hairy carpels. Stigmas are reddish-purple, and of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2 cm (0.75”) in length, with reddish-purple filaments that fade to white at the tips. Sheath is complete; reddish-purple in color. Fertile both ways. Plants reach 101 cm (39.75”) at maturity, and carry broadly-cut, green foliage. Growth habit is upright. Name romanized is Zǐ xiá qīng luó, roughly translating to “purple cloud and blue dragon”.
