Peony Registry

Seedling number: 76-194D. Parentage: ‘Heavenly Masterpiece’ x ‘Joyful Beginning’. First bloomed 2020, first propagated 2020. Early midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE to DOUBLE flowers are blush pink, 12.7 cm (5”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, ruffled, and notched, and are typically 5 cm (2”) in width. Fragrant. Four moderately hairy carpels are white, and carry pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are less than 1.25 cm (0.5”) in length, with filaments that are uniformly yellow in color. Produces pollen; no seed fertility to date. Disk is apparent with few projections, and white in color. Leaflets are broad-pointed, and green in color. Plants reach 76 cm (30”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary
