Peony Registry

Seedling number: 59-93C. Parentage: ‘Butterflies in Flight’ x Seedling VL. First bloomed 2019, first propagated 2019. Very late blooming DOUBLE flowers are rhubarb purple, 12.7 cm (5”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, ruffled, notched, and are typically 3.8 cm (1.5”) in width. No fragrance. No carpels or stamens, thus no fertility noted. Disk is obscure. Leaflets are narrow-pointed, and green in color. Plants reach 76 cm (30”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary.
