Early midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE to DOUBLE flowers are raspberry red, 17.75 cm (7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, ruffled, notched, and are typically 6.35 cm (2.5”) in width. Subtle fragrance. Three tomentose carpels are cream-colored, and carry pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are less than 1.25 cm (0.5”) in length, with filaments that are uniformly white in color. Produces pollen, and occasionally seed. Staminodes are oblanceolate and spatulate in structure, and identical in color to the surrounding petalage. Leaflets are broad-pointed, and green in color. Plants reach 81.25 cm (32”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary.
