Back to RegistrySeedling number CH52. Parentage: ‘Green Lotus’ open pollinated. First bloomed 2012. NOVELTY form flowers are reddish-purple-pink overlaid with striations of light pink and green. The color does not change as the flowers age. Flowers are 11cm (4.33”) in diameter, upward facing, and average two per stem. Fragrant. Guard petals are cupped, ruffled, twisted, frilled, and notched, and are typically 2.5cm (0.98”) in width. On average, flowers possess four smooth, yellow-green carpels; stigmas are yellow and of normal anatomy. Stamens between 1.5-2cm (0.5-0.75”) in length, with yellow-green filaments. Produces both pollen and seeds. Disk is well-developed and complete, and yellow-green in color, sometimes with a purplish tinge. Plants reach 65cm (25.6”) at maturity, and carry green foliage with an upright habit. Mechanical support is unnecessary.
