Seedling number B083. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2017, first propagated 2019. Cultivar has been previously distributed under seedling number. Early blooming SINGLE flowers are blush pink with a hint of green, are 17 cm (6.7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to four per stem. Guard petals are typically 8 cm (3”) in width, and are cupped, rounded, ruffled, and notched. Fragrant. Two sparsely hairy, yellow-green carpels carry red stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2 cm (0.75”) in length, with filaments that are about ⅓ pink and ⅔ yellow in color. The stamens are arranged in a dense pom-pom at the center of the flower and are quite attractive to bees; hence the name, as bees sing the best song. Fertile both ways. Disk is well-developed and complete. Leaflets are broad-pointed, and green in color, becoming green with yellow margins in autumn. Foliage at the time of emergence is copper red. Buds are also interesting; salmon-green in color. Plants reach 100 cm (40”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright, with stiff stems; mechanical support is unnecessary.
