Peony Registry

Seedling number PP015-13. Parentage: “Maironis” open pollinated. First bloomed 2020, first propagated 2022. Early-midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are white, 18 cm (7”) in diameter, outward facing, and average four to five per stem. Guard petals are notched. Fragrant. Carpels are yellow-green, and carry moderate purplish-pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are brilliant yellow, and typically less than 1.5 cm (0.5”) in length. Plants reach 105 cm (41.3”) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage with purple margins. Foliage at the time of emergence is dark red. Growth habit is upright, though does benefit from mechanical support. The name translates to “June blizzard”.
