NOVELTY form flowers are reddish-purple, 12cm (4.7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to two per stem. No fragrance noted. Petals are shorter, narrow, and in three to four rows. Guard petals are twisted, frilled, and notched, and are typically 3cm (1.18”) in width. On average, flowers possess seven smooth, green carpels; stigmas are yellow and of both normal and feathered anatomy. Stamens more than 2cm (0.75”) in length, with yellow filaments. Produces both pollen and seeds. Disk is well-developed and complete, and yellow-green or yellow-white in color. Plants reach 75cm (29.5”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary.
