Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2012, first propagated 2015. Early blooming DOUBLE flowers are light purple, 16 cm (6.3”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are flat, and are typically 6.4 cm (2.5”) in width. Deep purplish-red flares emanate from flower center and transcend approximately 18% of total petal length. Very fragrant. No apparent carpels. Stamens that are present are more than 2 cm (0.75”) in length. Filaments are deep purplish-pink fading at the tips. Staminodes are of various shape, and are a deep purplish-red at the base transitioning to a pale purplish-pink at the tip. No fertility noted. Plants reach about 70 cm (27.5”) at maturity, and carry broad-blunt, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is a moderate reddish-brown. Growth habit is spreading. Stems are woody and hardy, not easily damaged by wind.
