Back to RegistrySeedling number Albany TP. Parentage unknown. First bloom unknown, first propagated 2015. Very early blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are raspberry-red, gradually lightening with age. Flowers are 17.75 cm (7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are ruffled, rounded, twisted, frilled, and are typically 7.5 cm (3”) in width. On average, flowers carry five to nine pale-green to white, moderately hairy carpels. Stigmas are green to white, and of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2 cm (0.75”) in length, with pink filaments. Petalodes, oblanceolate in structure, are yellow blending to a raspberry red color identical to surrounding petalage. Sheath is complete; maroon in color. Fertile both ways. Plants reach 137 cm (54”) at maturity, and carry blue-green foliage with maroon margins. Foliage at time of emergence is reddish-green. Growth habit is spreading.
