Back to RegistrySeedling number FC045. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2018, first propagated 2020. Mid-late season blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are warm pink, gradually fading at petal margins. As flowers age, this lightening increases, becoming wider and almost white, with a pink stripe remaining in the middle. At the next stage, the inner petals completely lighten; they are white with a touch of pink, and the outer petals remain darker. In extreme cases, it happens that half of the flower is pink and half white. Flowers are typically 16 cm (6.3”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to three per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, notched, cut, and average 5.5 cm (2.16”) in width. Fragrant. No carpels. Stamens are less than 1.25 cm (0.5”) in length, with cream colored filaments that transition to yellow at the tips. Produces pollen; no seed fertility. Plants reach 100 cm (40”) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is reddish-green. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is generally unnecessary, but may prove beneficial in unfavorable conditions.
