Seedling number 36-61. Parentage: 117 x “m.s.b”. First bloomed 2011, first propagated 2013. Early blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are a very light beige-cream suffused with a pink blush. Cerise red flares radiate from flower center and transcend approximately 30% of overall petal length. Flowers are 15 cm (6”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to two per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, and slightly ruffled. No fragrance. Two to three tomentose carpels are light-green in color. Stigmas are plum-red in color, and are of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2 cm (0.75”) in length, with filaments that are uniformly light-yellow in color. Produces pollen; seed fertility has not yet been observed. Leaflets are broad-pointed, and green in color. Foliage at the time of emergence is red. Plants reach 85 cm (33.5”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. Healthy and vigorous, it is one of the first herbaceous hybrids to flower in the registrant’s garden.
