Late blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are dark-pink, gradually fading to a light powder-pink suffused with some areas which maintain the original darker coloration. Petal margins at late stages are quite light, appearing close in shade to white. Flowers are 15 cm (6”) in diameter, upward facing, and average two to four per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, slightly cut, and average 6 cm (2.4”) in width. Inner petals are narrower, cut, fancifully twisted, and crumpled. Fragrance is intense, yet pleasant. No carpels. Stamens are less than 1.25 cm (0.5”), with yellow filaments. Produces pollen; no seed fertility. No apparent disk. Plants reach 100 cm (40”) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is brown-copper in color. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is generally unnecessary, but may prove beneficial in unfavorable conditions.
