Early blooming SINGLE flowers are light pink, 18cm (~7″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are rounded, ruffled, notched, and are typically 8.1cm (3.2”) in diameter. Fragrance noted. Black flares with bleeding edges transcend approximately 45% of the petal length. Five moderately hairy carpels are light green, with peach-colored stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.2cm and 2cm (0.5”-0.75″) in length; filaments maroon in color. Some staminodal development, light pink, oblanceolate / spatulate. Fertile both ways. Sheath is partial, light maroon. Plants reach about 140cm (55″) at maturity, and carry blue-green foliage, physical structure typical to that of gansu mudan. Growth habit is upright.
