Back to RegistrySeedling number HB5 10-114. Parentage: Simmons #116 x ‘The Mackinac Grand’. First bloomed 2015, first propagated 2017. Midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE to DOUBLE flowers are light pink with a pale beige background, are 16 cm (6.3”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are rounded, and are typically 6 cm (2.5”) in width. No fragrance. Two sparsely hairy carpels are light-green in color, and carry pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2 cm (0.75”) in length, with filaments that are uniformly pale-yellow in color. Fertile both ways. Leaflets are broad-pointed, and green in color. Foliage at the time of emergence is red. Plants reach 80 cm (31.5”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. A good healthy bush and reasonably vigorous.
