Parentage unknown – noted possibly a descendant of ‘Old Faithful’. First bloomed 2019, first propagated 2021. Early-midseason blooming SINGLE flowers are a uniform rosy mid-pink with very slight light pink petal edge. Flowers are 12cm (4.7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average two to four per stem. Fragrant. Exhibits on average five sparsely hairy, green carpels with pink stigmas. Stamens are 1.2-2cm (0.5-0.75”) long with yellow filaments. Pollen present, though no seeds have been noted. Plants reach 115cm (45”) at maturity, and carry broad, pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, with strong, thick stems. Mechanical support unnecessary. Plant is resilient, with reliably green foliage through the entire growing season. Resultantly, it is suitable for ornamental cultivation. Named for being a tetraploid with a large, flat flower shape like the sea.
