Mid-late season blooming DOUBLE flowers are blush-white, 18cm (7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average two per stem. Fragrant. Guard petals are rounded and notched, and average 6cm (2.4”) in width. No carpels, or stamens – structures are fully transformed into petalage. Linear petalodes are present, and yellow in color. No fertility noted. Disk is obscure. Plants reach 70cm (27.5”) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Foliage color at time of emergence is reddish-green. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary. Kylin is a mythical beast in ancient Chinese mythology that brings auspiciousness to humans when it appears. The breeder hopes that this white double flower will bring good luck to everyone.
