Back to RegistrySeedling number “Pink Pastelegance”, APG #242. Previously distributed as “Pink Pastelegance”. Parentage: ‘Salmon Dream’ x ‘Lemon Chiffon’. First bloomed 2015, first propagated 2016. A bud sport of ‘Pastelegance’, isolated and propagated. Early midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are pink, 12.7 cm (5”), upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, and typically 6.35 cm (2.5”) in width. No fragrance. Carpels, three to five in number, are light-green in color. Stigmas are dark-pink, and of normal anatomy. Stamens present, filaments yellow with pollen carrying anthers. Some petalodes, displaying a yellow coloration that fades to the pink color of surrounding petalage. Plants reach 76 cm (30”) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is purple-green in color. Growth habit is spreading, though mechanical support is not necessary.
