Early-midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are raspberry/magenta colored, 15.25cm (6″) in diameter, are upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are rounded, and generally 5cm (2″) wide. Emits a slightly spicy fragrance. Possesses three carpels, magenta stigmas. Stamens are greater than 2cm (0.75″) in length, with yellow filaments that lighten near the tips. Fertile both ways. Well-developed disc. Foliage is green upon emergence, later dark green. Plants reach 76cm (30″) at maturity and do not require mechanical support. Flowers open in a ruffly, free-floating manner, culminating in an enticing fully-double bloom. The deep magenta/raspberry color lights up the garden with its early-season presence.
