Late season blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers open flesh-pink, then rapidly fade to near white, often retaining light-pink coloration on guard petals. Occasional red edges are apparent on inner petalage. Flowers are 12.75 cm (5”) in diameter, upward facing, and average three per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, and are typically 4.5 cm (1.75”) in width. Interior petalage is frilled and notched. Highly fragrant. On average, flowers carry two carpels with dark pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2 cm (0.5-0.75”) in length. Produces pollen; seed fertility has not been noted. Plants reach 58.5 cm (23”) at maturity, and carry broadly-cut, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is red-backed green. Growth habit is low and broad; mechanical support is unnecessary. A short, bushy plant that produces many very fragrant blooms. Opening about two weeks after ‘Red Charm’, the bloom period is extended over several weeks thereafter, as the sidebuds continue to open. Flowers are held up to 20.25 cm (8”) above the foliage, and present a ready-made bouquet.
