Seedling number TP2 13-64. Parentage: Simmons #32-142 (‘The Mackinac Grand’ x “m.s.b”) x unknown. First bloomed 2015, first propagated 2019. Late season blooming DOUBLE flowers are cream colored with hints of coffee and suffused with light pink that is strongest at the petal base that creates an inner-glow effect. Flowers are 15-16 cm (6-6.3”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to two per stem. Guard petals are rounded, somewhat ruffled, and are typically 6 cm (2.4”) in width. No fragrance. Four moderately hairy carpels are light-green in color, typically arranged as one small central carpel with three larger carpels surrounding it. Stigmas are pink, and of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2 cm (0.5-0.75”) in length, with filaments that are very light pink in color, fading to pale cream at the tips. Fertile both ways. Disk is obscure. Leaflets are broad-pointed, and green in color. Plants reach 80 cm (31.5”) at maturity. Growth habit is somewhat spreading, and may benefit from mechanical support at the final stages of flowering. Cultivar has nice buds, and all flowers tend to open simultaneously, creating a showy garden display.
