Peony Registry

Parentage: “Ru Hua Si Yu” x “Qing Cui Lan”. First bloomed 2008, first propagated 2009. Midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are dark pink, 15 cm (5.9”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are flat, rounded, and are typically 5 cm (2”) in width. Fragrance noted. No functional reproductive structures. Stamens are fully transformed into petallage that is dark pink in color. Plants reach 80 cm (31.5”) at maturity, and carry broad-blunt, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is reddish-green. Growth habit is upright. Named for the flower color, which is a pinkish hue under direct sunlight; cultivated in Heze.
