Peony Registry

Seedling number PP015-15. Parentage: ‘Virgilijus’ open pollinated. First bloomed 2020, first propagated 2022. Early-midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are deep purplish-pink with lighter, yellowish white petal margins. Flowers are 15 cm (6”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to two per stem. Guard petals are rounded. Very fragrant. Six moderately hairy, very pale purple carpels carry deep purplish-pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are brilliant yellow, and typically less than 1.5 cm (0.5”) in length. Produces both pollen and seeds. Plants reach 115 cm (45.25”) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage with purple margins. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary.
