Parentage: Hangshao (Lactiflora Group, mainly originated from Hangzhou or nearby places, China) × Unknown (Lactiflora Group). First bloomed 2012, first propagated 2015. White SINGLE; 2-3 rows of guard petals; flower size about 6¼ inches (16 cm) in diameter and 1¾ inches (5 cm) high. Well-formed petals notched, width 2¾ inches (7 cm). Tidy boss of brilliant yellow, pollen-bearing stamens surround the carpels. Carpels 5 in number, green when fresh, very hairy, maturing to deep purplish red. Stigmas red (RHS 60B). Staminodal disc incomplete, consisting of a few projections, their color moderate purplish pink (RHS 65A). Fertile. Midseason bloomer. Average height at maturity 40 inches (102 cm) with self-supporting upright growth habit. Foliage green on emergence from ground. Long-lasting flowers are held well above the foliage, 10 inches (25 cm) or more, making this a good cultivar for cut flowers as well as for landscape applications. Named for its late spring blooming period, and its snowy white flower.
