Seedling number 5-29-2. Parentage not given. First bloomed 2013, first propagated 2015. Early blooming DOUBLE flowers are light-pink, 15cm (6”) in diameter, outward facing, and average one per stem. Flowers fade to a cream color with occasional green blurs and light-pink staminodes with yellow edging created by visible pollen. Guard petals are ruffled and frilled. No fragrance noted. Flowers possess on average three very hairy, green carpels with pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2cm (0.75”) in length. Fertile both ways. Plants reach 80cm (31.5”) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage with undertones of purple. Foliage at time of emergence is red. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. A fine garden subject that presents good potential for cut-flower production, and blooms a few days after ‘Athena’. Named for the common phrase meaning “Roman peace”.
