Early-midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are pink, 18 cm (7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are ruffled and notched. Fragrant. On average, flowers possess five moderately hairy carpels that are light green in color, and carry dark pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2 cm (0.5-0.75”) in length, with purple filaments that lighten near the tips. Produces both pollen and seeds. Sheath is complete, and purplish-red in color. Plants reach 83 cm (32.5”) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, yellow-green foliage. Growth habit is upright. The story of “Qiu Weng Yu Xian” is widely spread in China, this variety has pink flower color, dignified flower type, the name is taken from the mythical story of “Qiu Weng Yu Xian”, so it is named ‘Qiu Weng Yu Xiang’.
