Back to RegistryParentage: ‘Honey Gold’ open pollinated. Mid-late season blooming intermediary ANEMONE progressing to BOMB form. Flowers are primarily white and creamy in color at center, with occasional, small dark-pink stripes on petal margins and yellow petalodes. Flowers are 15 cm (6”) in diameter, upward facing, and average two to four per stem. Guard petals are ruffled, rounded, and cupped. Fragrance noted. Fertile both ways. Plants carry broadly-cut, green foliage (also green on emergence), and reach 80-100 cm (31.5-40”) in height at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. A very tender flower, with delicate fragrance that feels like a bird song; not bothersome or overly strong. The name means “paradise bird”, named so because the flower’s appearance is likened to a small miracle, much like the paradise bird itself.
