Midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are deep purplish-red, 12.7-15.25 cm (5-6”), upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are typically 6.35 cm (2.5”) in width, and are rounded and tousled. No fragrance noted. Flowers carry on average four to five moderately hairy, pale-green carpels. Stigmas are light pink, and of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2 cm (0.75”) in length, with yellowish pink filaments that transition to white at the tips. Produces pollen; seed fertility has not been noted. Disk is well-developed, and white in color. Leaflets are irregular, green in color. Plants reach 66 cm (26”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary.
