Parentage: P. Lutea “DJHC9812” x plant distributed by Kaichen Nursery erroneously as “P. papaveracea”. Previously distributed as “Spící Rusalka”. First bloomed 2014, first propagated 2021. Early blooming SINGLE flowers are yellow, 8 cm (3.1″) in diameter, outward facing, and average one per stem. Light reddish-purple flares with blurred edges emanate from flower center and transcend approximately 10% of the total petal length. Guard petals are flat, and are typically 3 cm (1.2”) in width. Fragrant; reminiscent of Sambucus nigra and strong; on a sunny day the smell can be discerned even several meters from the plant. On average, flowers possess four sparsely hairy, green carpels with purple red stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2 cm (0.5-0.75”) in length, with yellow filaments that exhibit purple coloration at their bases (about 1 mm). Fertility not noted. Partial sheath. Plants reach about 80 cm (31.5″) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, reddish-green foliage. Growth habit is low and broad. The only seedling that germinated from the named cross. Both parents are low, producing creeping underground offshoots. This resulting seedling is taller than the parents, though it also spreads by underground shoots and creates a ground cover carpet. The leaves retain a purple tint for a long time. They are greening from the middle veins towards the edge. The flowers are small, point upwards or are tilted to the side, they are partly lost in the foliage. Name derived from a survey among visitors to the botanical garden. It is reminiscent of the magical scent and the opera by Antonin Dvořák.
