Seedling number FB067. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2018, first propagated 2020. Midseason blooming JAPANESE flowers are candy-pink and celadon; the celadon appearing as a wide stripe in the center of the guard petals. Flowers are 15 cm (6”) in diameter, upward facing, and average three to four per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, notched, and average 6.5 cm (2.6”) in width. Fragrant. Three to four moderately hairy carpels are green, and carry red stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are transformed to cream-colored staminodes with a yellow border and culminating in a red-colored, pointed tip. Staminodes are spatulate in shape, and notched. Seed fertile. Disk is well-developed and pink in color. Plants reach 100-110 cm (40”) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is a glossy brown-green. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. Named for the flower’s overall appearance, much like a shallow porcelain bowl filled with a portion of delicious spaghetti topped with tomato sauce.
