Back to RegistrySeedling number FA053. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2017, first propagated 2019. Cultivar has been previously distributed under seedling number. Very early blooming SINGLE flowers are peach colored with a cream petal base and darker pink coloration at petal apex. This darker pink gently blurs into the peach color on the petal surface, though runs along the entire reverse as a distinct flare. Flowers are 17 cm (6.7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are typically 5.5-6 cm (2.2”) in width, rounded, ruffled, notched, and arranged in two rows. Slightly fragrant. Two to three tomentose carpels are pink, and carry red stigmas of feathered anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2 cm (0.5-0.75”) in length, with filaments that are cream colored, transitioning to yellow at the tips. Fertile both ways. Disk is complete, and dark pink in color. Leaflets are narrow-pointed, and green in color. Foliage at the time of emergence is a rusty-green color. Plants reach 75 cm (30”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. Blooms at the same time as ‘Nosegay’.
