An early-mid season, advanced-generation herbaceous hybrid; massively three-dimensional double or almost-double yellow flowers measure 7″ (17 cm) across, sporting a cream-apricot inner glow at the flower-base that in early-summer sunshine illuminates the entire plant as seen from a distance; each flower tends to have a single sidebud; generally 4 pale green carpels, sparsely hairy, having pink stigmata; 40″ (100 cm) stems need support to carry heavy, petal-packed blooms; medium pointed, veined leaflets; seeds and pollen; a variety notable for the splendor of its large yellow flowers, which become shaggy, voluminous immensities at the end of the blooming week.
