Trojan Vanile Morning

SINGLE flowers are pink fading to light pink at petal margins, 20cm (7.8”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Blooms profusely. Guard petals are flat, and typically 7cm (2.75”) in width. No fragrance noted. On average, flowers possess four moderately-hairy carpels that are greyed-green, and carry reddish-purple stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2cm (0.75”) in length, with red-purple filaments that fade to greenish-white at the tips. Produces both pollen and seeds. Sheath is complete, and reddish-purple in color. Plants carry green foliage with an upright habit. Selected in conjunction with Martin Lemon; from a group of seedlings grown from seeds of plants obtained from the Heze Peony Company, China. “Trojan” is a reference to the district where the Prague Botanical Garden is located.
