Seedling number 5-38-1. Parentage not given. First bloomed 2013, first propagated 2015. Early blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers present a blend of creamy-yellow with light salmon pink on ruffled, frilled petals. Flowers are 18cm (7.1”) in diameter, outward facing, cup-shaped, and average one per stem. Bud size is 4-5cm (1.6-2”). Three very hairy, green carpels with pink stigmas are present. Has pollen, and produces seeds. Plants reach 85cm (33.5”) at maturity, and carry broadly pointed, green foliage with undertones of purple. Growth habit is upright and vigorous, with strong stems that do not require mechanical support. Possesses good potential for cut flowers. Blooms with ‘Lemon Hayes’ and ‘Claire de Lune’. Named for Roman Emperor Valens.
