Early-midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are ivory colored, brushed with blush pink at the base of the petals. Flowers are 18 cm (7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to two per stem. Guard petals are typically 6 cm (2.4”) in width, and are cupped and rounded. The inner petals are narrower, slightly wavy, corrugated, twisted, and arranged in several layers. Highly fragrant. Carpels are three to four in number, moderately hairy, green, and carry red stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2 cm (0.5-0.75”) in length, with cream colored filaments that transition to yellow at the tips. Fertile both ways. Disk is obscure. Leaflets are broad-pointed, and green in color. Foliage at the time of emergence is red. Plants reach 90 cm (35”) at maturity. Growth habit is upright, though may benefit from mechanical support in unfavorable conditions.
