Back to RegistryParentage unknown. First bloomed 2011, first propagated 2013. Early blooming BOMB flowers are vivid reddish-purple, 18 cm (7.12”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Greyish-purple flares emanate from flower center and transcend approximately 35% of total petal length. Guard petals are flat, and are typically 8.4 cm (3.3”) in width. Very fragrant. No carpels. Stamens are less than 1.25 cm (0.5”) in length, with filaments uniformly white in color. Linear and oblanceolate staminodes are light reddish-purple at both base and tip, and very pale purple in the middle portion of the structure. Sheath is complete, and moderate-orange in color. No fertility.. Plants reach about 110 cm (43.3”) at maturity, and carry broad-blunt, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is a moderate red. Growth habit is spreading. Stems are hardy, and not easily damaged by wind.
