Early midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are pale purple, 14 cm (5.5”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are flat, and are typically 4.7 cm (1.85”) in width. Strong purplish-red flares emanate from flower center and transcend approximately 37.5% of total petal length. Very fragrant. No apparent carpels. Some stamens present that are roughly between 1.25-2 cm (0.5-0.75”) in length. Filaments are strong purplish-red transitioning to pinkish-white at the tips. Staminodes are of various shape, and are a strong reddish purple at the base transitioning to a pale purple at the tip. No fertility noted. Plants reach about 73.6 cm (29.5”) at maturity, and carry broad-blunt, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is a moderate red. Growth habit is upright. Stems are woody and hardy, not easily damaged by wind.
