Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2021, first propagated 2024. Mid-late season blooming ANEMONE flowers are purplish-pink, 15 cm (6”) in diameter, upward facing, and average four per stem. Guard petals are flat, rounded, and typically 5.2 cm (2”) in width. Fragrance noted. On average, flowers carry four smooth, green carpels. Stigmas are yellow, and of normal anatomy. Petalodes are purplish-pink, and spatulate in shape. No fertility noted. Disk is complete, and pink in color. Plants reach 93 cm (36.5”) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is yellow-green. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. A fine ornamental cultivar suitable for the garden. The name comes from the purple outer petals, like feathery balls. The flowers are sweet and fragrant. When the flowers are in full bloom, these purple floral balls will scent and beautify the peony garden.
