Seedling number 201520. Parentage: “Fengdan Xing”open pollinated. First bloomed 2015, first propagated 2016. Midseason blooming SINGLE flowers are reddish-purple, 14cm (5.5”) in diameter, outward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are rounded and notched, and are typically 4.5cm (1.75”) in width. Fragrant. Purple flares with blurred edges radiate from flower center and transcend approximately 8% of total petal length. On average, flowers possess five carpels that are light green in color, and carry dark pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2cm (0.5-0.75”) in length, with purple filaments that fade to white at the tips. Produces both pollen and seeds. Sheath is complete, and dark purplish-red in color. Plants reach 166cm (65.5”) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is spreading. The flowers are light purple, like the sunset glow with a more ethereal aura, thus it is named ‘Zixia Xiannv’.
