Seedling number 201433. Parentage: “Fengdan Fen”open pollinated. First bloomed 2014, first propagated 2015. Early blooming SINGLE flowers are red-purple, 16cm (6.3”) in diameter, outward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are rounded and notched, and are typically 4.6cm (1.81”) in width. Fragrant. On average, flowers possess five carpels that are tomentose, light green in color, and carry red-purple colored stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2cm (0.75”) in length, with purple filaments that fade to yellow at the tips. Produces both pollen and seeds. Sheath is complete, and dark purplish-red in color. Plants reach 158cm (62”) at maturity, and carry broadly-cut, green foliage. Growth habit is spreading. The petals break free from the shackles of the sepals, like freedom and release in a dream, thus it is named ‘Ziyou Zhimeng’.
