Peony Registry

Seedling number: Moroz #1. Parentage unknown (seed from APS seed exchange). First year bloomed about 1992. First divided about 1996. Loose DOUBLE. Vibrant bubble gum pink flowers. Egg sized buds develop into 6-8 inch blooms, one per stem. Cupped, rounded guard petals, with average width of 3 inches. Average of two carpels, pale green and sparsely hairy, topped with pink, normal shaped stigmas. No stamens, but fertile as a seed parent. Broad pointed green foliage, upright growth to 36 inches (0.9 m) height. Named for the wife of the registrant. Award of Merit (Class 401) and Court of Honor as best seedling at APS Exhibition, Chanhassen, MN, 2003).
