Double type; large; late. Dark but bright rose-pink with occasional old-rose shades, crimson edges on center petals; delicious rose-like fragrance. Moderate height and vigor; fairly floriferous; strong stems. Good foliage. Large, very compact flowers with petals arranged in concentric whorls or tufts, an unusually handsome form. Occasionally the color is coarse and blotchy but it is very good at times. “It is questionable whether it deserves its rating.”—Brand. “The petals are tipped lighter, which gives a lighter total effect.”—Thurlow. “Rather small flower of good color.”—Boyd.
