Seedling #NB15. Parentage: Seidl #46 x Seidl #16. Pedigree: [Seidl #46 is Reath A-197 x ‘Chinese Dragon’]; [Seidl #16 is Reath A-198 x ‘Chinese Dragon’]. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. One to two flowers per stem. Large 6 inch (15 cm) lavender-pink semi-double flowers with small veins of maroon. Maroon flares are present extending about a quarter of petal’s length. Flowers are highly ruffled. Sheath is light creamy pink; carpels green, up to 6 in number; stigmas light creamy pink; stamens with maroon filaments. Has pollen and seeds. Foliage is wide and dark green. Dense foliage to the ground covers stems. Good basal growth and average amount of flowers. Strong grower and a good looking plant out of bloom. Named for the largest moon of Jupiter and only moon with magnetic properties.
