Peony Registry

Seedling number RAHS42. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2015, first propagated 2015. Early-midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are pale-yellow, 13cm (5″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, ruffled, notched, and average 5cm (2″) in width. Fragrance noted. No carpels. Few stamens with filaments pink in color, fading to yellow at the tips. Staminodes are also present, spatulate in structure, with coloration identical to that of the outer petallage. Produces pollen, seed fertility has not been noted. Disc is obscure. Plants reach 51cm (20″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary.
