Peony Registry

Seedling number UHS31. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2015, first propagated 2015. Early-midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are a raspberry color, 15.25cm (6″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, notched, and average 5cm (2″) in width. Subtle fragrance noted. Flowers on average possess three, tomentose, green carpels with white stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are less than 1.25cm (0.5″) long, with filaments uniformly cream in color. Fertile both ways. Disc is obscure. Plants reach 66cm (26″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary.
