Two or three rows of guard petals, rounded, cupped, shallowly notched. Center of smaller petals, notched and ruffled, grading smaller towards the stamens. Three carpels on average, cream colored, very hairy. Stigmas pink, normal anatomy, fertility not determined. Pollen-bearing stamens at the center, filaments yellow. Staminodal disc consists of a few light pink projections. Fragrance. Early foliage emerges burgundy to green. Upright growth habit, height 24-26 inches (61-66 cm), support not needed.
