Amazing Queen
Back to RegistrySeedling number 52-74A. Parentage: x ‘Bashful Queen’ x Seedling RAHS44. First bloomed 2017, first propagated 2018. Early-midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are salmon pink, 15.25cm (6″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, ruffled, and are typically 5.8cm (2.25″) in width. Subtle fragrance noted. On average, flowers possess five tomentose, cream-colored carpels with pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2cm (0.5-0.75″) long, with yellow filaments. Staminodes are also present, identical in color to the outer petallage, and linear, and spatulate in structure. Produces pollen, though seed fertility has not been noted. Disc is well-developed, and white in color. Plants reach 66cm (26″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary.
