Back to RegistrySeedling number 81-16. Parentage: ‘Rivida’ x Seedling SG17. First bloomed 2018, first propagated 2018. Early-midseason blooming BOMB flowers are lavender pink, 17.75cm (7″) in diameter, upward facing, and average two per stem. Guard petals are rounded, ruffled, lightly notched, and average 6.4cm (2.5″) in width. High degree of fragrance noted. Flowers possess, on average, five very small, tomentose, cream-colored carpels with red stigmas of normal anatomy – more often, these are underdeveloped structures or absent entirely. Stamens are less than 1.25cm (0.5″) long, with uniformly yellow filaments. Petallodes are also present, linear and spatulate in structure. Larger petallodes display a streak of ivory over their lavender-pink coloration, with smaller petallodes being either lavender pink or ivory in color with approximately a 50/50 distribution. Produces pollen and very rarely seed. Disc is obscure. Plants reach 76cm (30″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, but plant does benefit from mechanical support in wet weather conditions.
