Midseason blooming NOVELTY flowers are cactus or dahlia like in form, burgundy red streaked with white, 8.9cm (3.5″) in diameter, outward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, frilled, and average 2cm (0.75″) in width. No fragrance noted. Carpels are typically four in number, smooth, and green with pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are less than 1.25cm (0.5) long, with uniformly yellow filaments. Produces pollen, no seed fertility noted. Disc is well-developed, and pink in color. Plants reach 61cm (24″ at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Foliage tops out at about 46-50cm (18-20″), with the remaining height due to blooms extending above the foliage. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary.
