Seedling number 7-28-1. Parentage not given. First bloomed 2013, first propagated 2014. Early blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are yellow with petal edges lightly touched with red. Flowers are 15cm (6”) in diameter, upward facing, and average two per stem. Slight citrus fragrance noted. Guard petals are frilled. Flowers possess on average three very hairy, green carpels with dark-pink stigmas. Stamens are more than 2cm (0.75”) in length. Fertile both ways. Plants reach 76cm (30”) at maturity, and carry broadly pointed, green foliage with undertones of purple. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. Named for Atia, mother of Roman Emperor Augustus.
